MFG Construction & Water Products (MFG CWP) played a key role in bringing luxury and architectural elegance to one of downtown Los Angeles’ most prestigious developments—the Century, a 42-story, 147-unit condominium spanning 884,468 square feet in the Century City/Beverly Hills area.

The project required over 250 custom composite columns, each 13 feet tall, to match the building’s upscale design vision. MFG CWP was tasked with creating unique fluted column form molds that delivered a lavishly smooth finish while maintaining durability and cost efficiency.

To meet these demands, the molds were:

• Constructed using an open mold process in quarter sections for precision and ease of handling
• Coated with a pre-treated mold release agent to ensure flawless results and corrosion resistance
• Designed to be reusable, providing the flexibility for future projects

In total, MFG CWP manufactured 15 custom fluted column molds, which produced over 250 columns, with eight columns per floor. The result: stunning, high-end concrete columns that captured the elegance of traditional stone but were more cost-efficient, durable, and practical than any other alternative.
